Qwai-Zia is a Senior Paralegal at Simonsen Sussman, bringing extensive experience in complex litigation and trial proceedings. Prior to joining the firm, she served in the Honors Paralegal Division of the Federal Trade Commission, where she was recognized for her precision, strategic insight, and steadfast commitment to justice. In this role, she supported attorneys in landmark antitrust and consumer protection matters, contributing to successful outcomes in cases of national significance.

Before her tenure at the Federal Trade Commission, Qwai-Zia was the Re-entry Director at Benevolence Farms, where she worked to support formerly incarcerated women and combat recidivism in rural communities. Her efforts were frequently commended for their passion and impact in addressing systemic injustices within the legal system.

Qwai-Zia earned her B.A. from Elon University, majoring in Human Resources with a concentration in Criminal Justice. She was awarded the prestigious Leon and Loraine Odyssey Scholarship and recognized with Elon’s Black Excellence Award for her outstanding academic and leadership achievements.
