Overview

Paul is an associate of the firm. Prior to joining the firm, Paul was an associate at two leading multinational law firms where he gained exposure to industries as diverse as aerospace, construction, finance, and broadcast media. Paul has litigated dozens of civil cases around the country, primarily plaintiff-side. He has represented clients in a wide range of complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts. In law school, he interned for the Civil Litigation Division of the Department of Justice in the Southern District of New York and served as an Articles Editor of the NYU Law Review.

In his pro bono work, Paul has investigated claims of police torture for the Illinois Torture Inquiry and Relief Commission (TIRC), a first-of-its-kind governmental organization dedicated to scrutiny of claims of torture, and has presented his findings to the Commission, ultimately resulting in a unanimous vote in line with his recommendation. He has also served as counsel for amicus curiae opposing the state of Florida’s prosecution of citizens with felony convictions for those citizens’ act of voting—after those citizens were informed by the state of Florida that they were indeed eligible to cast a ballot.

Paul clerked for the Honorable Melissa Damian of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He holds a B.A. from the University of Chicago and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
