Simonsen Sussman LLP is currently accepting applications for a paralegal to join our team.
We are looking for someone:
Highly detail-oriented;
Able to multi-task;
Efficient and productive; and
Able to function productively and professionally in a remote environment.
The ideal candidate is willing and able to do (or learn to do) a variety of tasks and projects, including:
Preparing and formatting documents and spreadsheets;
Creating forms/templates, e.g., form letters, pleadings for specific courts, etc.;
Generating tables of authority;
Handling filings, including preparing initial drafts of forms and ensuring conformance with local rules;
Document and data productions;
Relativity tasks, e.g., mass-tagging, exporting, reporting;
Creating and maintaining exhibits and exhibit lists;
Helping to prepare for depositions and creating deposition binders;
Planning events and booking travel;
Managing calendars and files;
Turning time entries into invoices;
Monitoring reimbursements, invoices, and payments;
Organizing recruiting tasks, e.g., interviews, offer letters;
Conducting basic Internet research;
Creating summaries of phone calls; and
Doing basic IT tasks for the firm.
We are looking for a sharp, eager, capable, detail-oriented individual who is excited about our mission and able to learn quickly.
Salary will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors and is expected to be in a range of $60,000 to $85,000 per year. The paralegal also will be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus dependent upon performance and the firm’s profitability. The position is fully remote, though in-person attendance may be required for specific events such as trials.
