Overview

As a paralegal for Simonsen Sussman, Jefferson supports the firm's legal teams with case work across a range of matters. Prior to joining, Jefferson worked as a paralegal analyst at a boutique New York law firm, where he supported civil litigation, criminal defense, internal investigations, and criminal justice matters.

Jefferson holds a B.A. in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University in tandem with the Juilliard School through the Columbia-Juilliard Exchange Program. His commitment to legal advocacy began at Columbia, where he supported accredited educational programs at Rikers Island through the Justice-in-Education program, working to help facilitate access to education for incarcerated individuals. He also conducted field research and documentary work in French Polynesia, engaging with communities affected by nuclear testing radiation fallout.

Jefferson has also worked at The Korea Society and the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation, furthering his engagement with human rights and international affairs issues.
