Faiza Chowdhury
Overview
As a paralegal for Simonsen Sussman, Faiza provides substantive and administrative support to the firm’s legal team to advocate for clients and fair market practices.
Prior to joining the firm, Faiza was a paralegal at a litigation boutique in New York City. Here, she developed her passion for client advocacy by supporting a criminal trial team and conducting language interpretation for an indigent defendant.
Faiza holds a B.A. from Columbia University in Urban Studies and Economics, which sparked her interest in antitrust law. This interest ultimately motivated her senior thesis, where she used archival data to explore how utility firms exercised anticompetitive practices during New York City’s fiscal and energy crises in the 1970s.
Faiza was also Publicity Director for the Columbia Political Review, leading a team of designers to promote the publication’s work to Columbia’s undergraduate student body.
